These are my favorite change plates, hands down. I had just gotten a set from another brand right before they started selling their factory seconds fall 2021 so I passed on those. I really wanted Griffin plates in general so I immediately regretted passing those up. The moment these came back in stock in an improved mold with better spacing, I scooped them and now I’m glad I waited since these ones are perfect. The metal hub is an incredibly nice touch and the colors pop. These feel substantial when handled and are more solid compared to the change plates I had before.

Change plates are always going to be pricey when it comes to $/lb but these aren’t too bad when you keep that in mind and are competitive with other brands. Rogue’s are practically the same price after shipping but don’t have a metal hub and the lettering and numbering are only on one side. Titan’s are cheaper but don’t have metal hubs, embossed letters and have color inconsistency. REP’s ones are basically the same as these but the lb versions are always out of stock and I personally prefer the Griffin lettering and branding much more. You really can’t go wrong with these.

Also, if you’re not aware, Griffin reached out to the community for a lot of feedback via their Facebook group during the development process and came up with the best plates possible. It was awesome that they took the time to do that. It feels great supporting a company that values community feedback and input. You can see this across all their products.

It’s great that Griffin is coming out with awesome new products, but I unfortunately can’t get as much as I want given the lack of a space for a fully decked out rack. I always want to get all of it but I feasibly can’t but when Griffin release something that works with my setup like these change plates, it’s incredibly exciting. All in all, I’m happy I finally have these and love seeing Griffin represented on my bars during workouts now.

So glad I waited out and purchased these! The finish a great and my plates were very accurate. The steel hub make these far superior to anything else I’ve seen on the market.
