Griffin Competition Flat Bench

This is the best competition flat bench on the market – hands down. It was easy and straightforward to assemble, and the owners of Griffin are a class act. The bench is incredibly sturdy with a grippy pad that is true to specs. Can’t say enough great things about this company’s products, continuous innovation, and how they value their customers.

Great bench at a great price. Looked at a lot of options before deciding on this and I’m happy with my choice. It works great with the Rogue bench centering rack attachment which was my only real concern I had before buying. The only thing I see missing is the ability to store upright. I also wish the wider pad was an option instead of an add.

Stunning bench. Completely sturdy even if I try and wobble it. Padding is thick and sturdy but juust soft enough to not be uncomfortable. Sturdiness and great padding are the primary reasons to buy a flat bench in my opinion, and this bench nails it. Aesthetically it looks fantastic with laser-cut griffin logo and the handle is very classy. My only gripe is that I wish the handle is horizontal because it is more difficult to reach down and grab a vertical handle because you have to crank your wrist. Despite that minor gripe, at this price point this bench cannot be beaten.

Holy cow, this bench is nice! I bought it to replace a cheap F.I.D. bench that is soft and slippery and pisses me off every time I try to use it. I bought the Griffin based on a couple of YouTube reviews of flat benches and this was a good decision! This bench is heavy duty, easy to assemble, and the pad is very firm and grippy! At 65, I will never come close to its weight capacity but I like things that are built stronger than they need to be. The parts are all nicely made and deburred, nicely powder coated, and fit together like they should… the Griffin logo cut into the brackets and the Griffin name plate (instead of a decal) really top off an excellent bench. I ordered it the evening before Thanksgiving (Black Friday sale) and it shipped the following Tuesday… which is pretty good after a crazy shopping weekend. Then I found the note inside… I'm not sure who Nancy is at Griffin, but she wrote a holiday thank you note that put a smile on my face! Great product and a personal touch!!

I was impressed when I first got my Griffin bench in May 2021 and gave it a 5 star for great design, stability. and feel. Have used it for more than a year and it is a terrific bench. I bought the wide pad to help out my 81 year old shoulders and love it as well.

I love this bench. There is no way to beat the value Griffin has delivered here. I almost pulled the trigger on a Rogue bench that would have totaled over $500. The REP FB-5000 bench has been sold out and its aesthetic never really checked the box for me as weird as that sounds. Frankly, this bench knocks that bench out of the park for me. Anyway, Griffin's flat bench is low profile but has attention to detail (e.g. the laser cut Griffin logos + horizontal handle) that keeps it from being boring. Its functionality is even better. The steel is strong and effective and the padding is feels awesome! For those who want it to be stable when standing, just glue/drill two 2 inch blocks of wood together and set it under the square part that's directly under the pad. Selfishly, it gives my DIY calf block more functionality! So that's one thing that can be improved: if the center tube can extend a few inches more to make standing the bench up easier. Another thing (insanely minor) is if the handle can be centered with the center tube instead of aligned with the right side as well since I find my left leg hitting it every now and then when setting up my feet (thinking of something similar to Vulcan's 3×3 Prime flat bench's trapezoidal handle design). Regardless, these aren't even complaints, just suggestions. As it stands, this bench is basically perfect and Griffin's customer service, interaction with its customers/community and honesty and transparency about restock timing and new product releases makes it such a great company to work with. That alone should sell you on their products but nope, they make top-notch items to outfit your gym with as well.

Really like my competition flat bench. Nice nice design, Didn't know how much I would like the wheels and handle only worked out on it once but love it. Had to give 5 stars based on solid construction and design.

Very well built, works as it should/no slipping on it, shipping was quick, the price is fantastic, it looks great…This is definitely one of those unicorn products that hits all the requirements out of the park IMO.

Great product. Price point is irrelevant here as this product is up there with all other competition benches I have used. Tolerances are spot on, came in quick time, all correct hardware, and super easy instructions. Bench is sturdy and ready to go once built. Love the bench, and love the price. I have an elite fts bench, and a rogue flat bench to train on, but the griffin flat bench will be my daily trainer. Build solid and love the single post front footing and the wheels. It's a deal!

Putting together a home gym for the first time and finding quality products in stock for a good price was proving difficult. When I came across this company I was unsure but decided to give them a try. This bench has turned out to be amazing. The quality of the parts and ease of assembly was the first hint that it was well worth the price. This bench is sturdy and built solid and I feel that the value you get from it is amazing. The style like others said is also a plus. The logo and branding is nice and subtle. If you are on the fence definitely give them a try you won't regret it. I cant wait to see where this company goes and I will definitely be purchasing from them in the future.

Unbelievable quality for the price point. I'd say aesthetically the logo is more pleasing to the eyes than the Titan and Rep flat benches. The pad does not feel cheap at all. The single post in the front makes it easy to stack your feet in any position close or wide. It is hefty but not too heavy. If you are hesitating, do not hesitate no longer. This bench comes at highly recommended. 5/5 quality and customer service.

Best flat bench i have ever owned….i'm 67 …….50+ years lifting…….I hesitated on the incline, but that was an obvious mistake….I need that incline bench guys…..I would pay full price for one laying around there someplace!!!

Probably the best flat bench on the market and you should not hesitate to buy. You won’t find another flat bench this good for this price point. You probably won’t find a better flat bench at all. The padding is wide, grippy, and firm, but not too firm. The bench is low enough to use leg drive, especially if your short like me. The tools provided don’t work well, so have a tool set handy. Griffin fitness nailed it with this bench.

I was nervous about ordering this bench given the complete absence of reviews, but I'm very glad I did. This flat bench is an absolute workhorse, and compares favorably to more expensive competition. As a plus, the visual branding is much more refined and subdued than most options at this price point, so it ends up having a premium feel even when compared to similar models.
