GRIFFIN ADJUSTABLE BENCH

The Griffin Adjustable Bench 2.0 is designed with three elements in mind: durability, mobility, and versatility. Because this bench is made from 11-gauge and 4-gauge steel, it clocks in at 121 lbs and is a tank. At the same time we wanted to design a bench that’s easy to move and store, which means having a horizontal knurled handle paired with wheels for easy moving, along with the ability to store it vertically when not in use.

This bench also comes loaded with 7 back pad positions (0, 15, 30, 45, 60, 70, and 85 degrees) and 4 seat positions (-15, 0, 15, and 30 degrees). A minimal pad gap of 1.75” allows you to adjust the bench and perform movements seamlessly without the discomfort of a large gap. The Adjustable Bench also comes standard with rubber feet on all points that touch the ground for safety and non-slip. The optional leg attachment is attached at the top of the bench and expands your capabilities for decline movements at whatever angle you need.

  • More than 28 different configurations with the 7 back pad and 4 seat pad positions

Picked this up locally and saved some money. Overall the bench is one of the best I’ve used. I had an AB5200 and Rogue 2.0. This is up there with those if not a bit better.

I bought the AB 2.0 with the intention that it will be the last bench I ever purchase. It is rock solid at 121lbs and it checked off everything on my list:
    (1) Vertical storage
    (2) Closed ladder design
    (3) Leg rollers (optional add-on) for decline exercises at multiple angles
    (4) Nordic curls as the leg rollers can be flipped upside down
    (5) Grippy thick back pad

This is a huge upgrade from my old bench, the Fitness Reality 1000 Super Max Bench. Thanks again Griffin Fitness!

Once assembled, the bench is fantastic. Very sturdy and solid and doesn’t wiggle or wobble at all. The seat gap could be smaller, but it does not get in the way of any lifts. Offers virtually the same function as REPs AB-5200 at a slightly better price. Color options would be nice to compete with REPs offerings.

I’m taking one star away because two screw holes on the back bench pad were improperly aligned, and the threading was off, making it almost impossible to screw into the frame. Had to force the bolt somehow to bite onto that poor threading after several attempts and try to force them in while keeping the bench straight. After trying to make it fit, I was afraid the pad was not aligned with the frame initially, but it turned out fine. Overall I would recommend this bench over REPs offerings if you’re happy with black being your only color option and you get it a bit less than the AB5200.

Fantastic bench. This thing is heavy duty and can probably stop a sedan. I had some minor issues with a few missing bolts that escaped from shipping damage, and Griffin sent me the replacement parts. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Fantastic bench and built like tank. This bench has all of the design features that I was looking for. Tripod design, ladder adjustment for the seat and the backrest, less than 18″ in height, full decline functionality, 12 wide backrest pad, minimal pad gap, ability to store vertically. I also saw that it had some additional features like a fully enclosed ladder (not just the side rails) with laser cut numbers, and a knurled handle. When I received the bench and assembled it, I was even more impressed. The pad is firm yet comfortable. It also has a nice material that prevents you from sliding around. The pad gap is minimal but I also found that I can bench press while being completely on the back pad. The bench is heavy but the placement of the handle makes moving it around easy. The leg roller works well for even the steepest decline angles. I also like the fact that the leg roller is adjustable. The unique locking feature for the backrest when in the flat position, makes the bench very stable when standing up. Having piece of mind that the bench won’t tip over due to slight bump, is important for those of us that have small kids.
